Consecration 2011 updates.

We have completed week one of the Consecration - how do you feel about it at this point? I certainly sense God's presence through the process. It is great to see our church unified around a common goal. We're drawing closer to God; we're praying for one another; we're growing in faith; we're identifying and overcoming issues!

Talk to me about your journey... your challenges and your victories through our time of Consecration!

  1. So far so good. I have been working on some of the ideas God has given to me. I am more focused than ever on completing projects before the year is up. I still have areas that need improvement but it's coming along well. This fast is certainly much needed!

  2. I spent the morning at a table setup on the Ferris State campus, hoping to engage students in conversation about Jesus, using InterVarsity's Red Cup campaign. Signs with red cups and the word "Thirsty?" invited students. Last week, two non-believers had stopped and asked "What's the deal with red cups?" I had been so encouraged by our conversations about Jesus, that this morning I full of anticipation, but only one student spoke with me all morning! I was kind of disappointed, and decided to end the morning with a prayer walk before I headed home. I prayed for the Lord's supernatural intercession on the campus, that He would open hearts and grow our chapter, that He would send more students...as I walked and prayed I clearly heard a sweet, female voice say "Hello David." I turned to greet what I thought would be a student friend and saw no one I knew...NO ONE! I stood looking, puzzled as students streamed around me. The only thing I can imagine is that the Lord was encouraging me...perhaps an angel??

  3. This is a great time for me, If I can be honest I am at a point where I really need strenth to continue In my study, It's a full load and Im intersted in everyting else but school right now. This consecration has opened my ears and eyes to GOD even more and all I know now is that I cant quit. I know it's not me because I wanted to quit but GOD said keep going. I can't stress enough how thankful I am for Victory Life.
