Ministry transition

On this past Sunday, January 11, Victory Life Christian Ministries celebrated our 6 year birthday as a church. Before service, we called a special meeting concerning the future of the ministry. At that meeting, I announced to the present Overcomers that God has directed me and my family to move and shift ministry efforts to the Nashville, TN area. We are honored to say that we currently have several individuals and families planning to make the move with us to establish ministry in Tennessee. In addition, there are several still considering the transition.

We have had an amazing run in Big Rapids. To date, 411 people have joined the church and 1000’s have been touched by the ministry. We appreciate that we have had the opportunity to serve in this ministry context. We have developed the lives and ministries of people at all junctures of life, offering tools to build faith in God, actualize potential, and manifest victory in the lives of the Overcomers associated with this ministry – therein, we have accomplished our mission. We’ve worked to become a model for multicultural, Christian ministry in the Northwestern Michigan region, providing quality Christian ministry which demonstrates excellence at all levels and serves as a guide, resource and foundation for the lives of the ministry participants – therein, we have accomplished our vision. We have shown the way to victory through extreme praise, intimate worship, and a life-changing Word – therein, we have fulfilled the purpose of our assignment in this location. We have impacted the world through touching individuals who have launched from here to forever impact society. Now, we are launching. The last service in Big Rapids will be on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

I believe several of you will receive a prompting to shift with the ministry. In these past 6 years, I have been trying to help Overcomers learn to hear the voice and prompting of God. Over the next weeks, I challenge you to check your spirit and see if God is prompting you to move with the ministry. There are presently ten households preparing to shift with the ministry. I recognize that it is a shock to some of you and that it is a huge move – I don’t take either of those things lightly – but, I do have total confidence that God is in this transition. If you are interested in transitioning with us, please let us know. We are conducting monthly focUS meetings related to the transition and would be happy to add you to the meetings which give more insight and information on what we’re doing and what we have discovered concerning the move.

We know that not everyone will be able to make the move. In the month of February, we are hosting several local ministries to minister at Victory Life. This will be a two-fold opportunity: 1. To allow those ministries to minister to our transition, and 2. To give those who may be staying an opportunity to experience these ministries to see if there is a desire to connect with any of these movements. While we do believe there’s no church like this church, we know that there are quality ministries in the area.

We are hoping to connect with those who have connected with this ministry over the next several months. In addition to our Sunday services, information will soon be available regarding a celebration send-off. We will be moving between May and September and starting the Nashville ministry between October and January. Over the next 4 months, we will focus on finishing strong on the assignment God has given us here in this city.

We are praying for each of you in this transition and we solicit your prayers. It’s not something we’re taking lightly, and I can assure you, if we hadn’t heard from God with much confirmation, we wouldn’t be doing this. I love this ministry; I’m proud of this ministry. I love all of you who are connected to this ministry. This is by no means easy – but, we have heard from God and we must love God’s will, God’s Word, God’s instructions, God’s plan, and God’s promises above all else.
If you have additional questions or would like to discuss this further, please contact me and we can make arrangements to have a discussion. Email pastorrazel@victorybr.com or call 231-796-8543 to schedule an appointment.

Love and blessings,
